Terms of Service

Effective date: These terms apply as of the date you first engage our services or use this site, unless a separate agreement specifies otherwise. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Engagement and scope

By engaging HID Consulting, you agree to our statements of work (SOWs) and any accompanying order forms. Services are provided on a best-effort basis with security-first practices. Hardware and software warranties are provided by their manufacturers, not by us.

Subscriptions, refunds, and cancellation

  • Subscriptions (e.g. Monitor, Manage, Priority plans) auto-renew monthly unless canceled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time before the next billing cycle. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current paid period; we do not prorate partial months.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months or for fees already paid for the current period. If we discontinue a service, we may offer a prorated credit at our discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HID Consulting’s liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or business opportunity.

Confidentiality

We treat your project details, network and system information, and business data as confidential and use them only to perform and support the services we provide. We do not disclose such information to third parties except as necessary to perform the services (e.g. subprocessors) or as required by law.

IP and ownership of deliverables

  • Pre-existing materials: We do not claim ownership of your pre-existing systems, data, or intellectual property.
  • Deliverables: Unless otherwise agreed in a SOW or order form, custom configurations, documentation, and other deliverables we create specifically for you are owned by you once paid in full. We retain the right to use general skills, methods, and non-client-specific knowledge in our work for others.
  • Our tools and templates: Our internal tools, templates, and generic processes remain our property.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HID Consulting operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless we agree in writing to another method.
